Daniel Purcell - Gardener and horticulturalist
I am a Geelong-based gardener who has been working in garden maintenance since 2016. After working as a primary school teacher, I decided to follow my passion for the garden and made a career shift by completing my Certificate III in Horticulture (Parks & Gardens). I have experience maintaining high-end gardens in Melbourne's inner suburbs, and more recently along the Great Ocean Road, Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula.
I have loved being in the garden since I was a young kid exploring my grandparents' back yard and helping my parents in my own garden. I came to appreciate the time and care that my mum and my grandparents put into making and maintaining such beautiful outdoor spaces and I take the same pride in my own work. I have been lucky enough to see some incredible gardens through my travels around Australia and abroad and I am always looking for inspiration to bring to my work.
Attention to detail
Very Nice Gardens is more than a mowing business. It's important to me that every job is done with the highest level of care and attention. I have an eye for detail and am always looking for ways to improve the gardens I care for.

I acknowledge the Wadawurrung people as the traditional owners of the land where I live and work. I pay respect to their elders both past and present and acknowledge that sovereignty of the land was never ceded. This country always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
